About us

La Resistencia Press was established to give writers of the global majority a chance to be published, effectively removing the white gatekeeper that has erased global majority voices in an ongoing genocidal effort.

LRP represents work from artists living in California, Iowa, Missouri, New Mexico, and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We are actively expanding and releasing new publications in art, poetry, memoir, and non-fiction.

The Press has received numerous grants including:

  • InterUrban ArtHouse "Artist as Activist" 2022
  • Arts KC "Inspiration" Grants 2018/2022
  • Charlotte Street "Cultural Producer Grant" 2021
